Learn key concepts about photovoltaics, battery storage and electric vehicles as you prepare to design a Solar Roller prototype for racing in the game.

Prototype design

Make critical design decisions about your Solar Roller prototype’s solar power production, battery storage capacity, chassis design and more. Cut out your design and assemble a 2D scale prototype which then becomes your gamepiece.

Tabletop racing

Print out, cut out and assemble your own racetrack and associated equipment. Hit the track for madcap simulated Solar Rollers racing that tests you and your car’s ability to harvest available sunlight, swerve past the competition’s block attempts, and maybe even remain friends with your fellow student racers past the finish line.
