Aspen Science Center Petition
The Aspen Science Center intends to turn the old Aspen Art Museum into a world class STEM discovery center - working with other area nonprofits like Energetics Education. Please sign the online petition if you live in the area and you happen to know a kid that likes liquid nitrogen ice cream parties!
Power House Aspen Science Center
The Aspen Science Center seeks to convert the Old Power House to a world-class discovery center for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), with programs for pre-school to adults in a wide range of subjects including astronomy, biology, chemistry, computers, electronics, mechanics, and physics. This plan will educate and inspire our children, enhance Aspen’s image, and broaden its attraction to people from all over the world.
The Center will provide a vehicle for non-profits in the Valley (e.g., Energetics Education, ACES, Roaring Fork River Conservancy, Wilderness Workshop, Aspen Music Festival) to develop programs in science, arts, & creativity. It will be a community resource, including facilities like a café for community gatherings, and will seek broad community input in designing programs and activities. The Center will actively work with other non-profits to offer space for a variety of community activities. It will include an outdoor science park exploring the environment, geology, motion, energy, music, sky, water, light, sound, wind, weather, and other topics.
Area residents can sign the petition here.

Solar Rollers at Carbondale Culture Club
The Carbondale Culture Club meets Wednesdays at noon to discuss things of great import. Like art, music and Solar Rollers.
At high noon on Wednesday, September 10, Energetics Education will be presenting the Solar Rollers program to the Carbondale Culture Club. Held in the Calaway room at the Third Street Center, this gathering is an institution in Carbondale.
The one hour presentation will focus on the Solar Rollers program featuring movies from the program as well as actual Solar Roller cars and actual high school students who have been impacted by the program.
Solar Rollers at AREDAY
We would like to thank AREDAY for inviting us to be a part of this incredible gathering this year and we hope to be a part of it again in the future.
The Solar Rollers display at American Renewable Energy Day was in good company. Also on display was a carbon fiber Formula E racecar, which is much like a giant Solar Roller, electrically speaking, without the solar. Why don't they cover these racecars in solar? Form a Solar Rollers team and find out.
Also on display was a veggie-oil powered Dakar-style enduro motorcycle and Colorado Mountain College's sophisticated mobile integrated energy laboratory.
We would like to thank AREDAY for inviting us to be a part of this incredible gathering this year and we hope to be a part of it again in the future. This high-powered get together is crucial to the ongoing discussion around how we solve climate problems related to energy.
